From 1 July 2026, eligible Cmobile customers will be able to connect their smartwatch to the mobile network using a companion eSIM service linked to their existing Cmobile mobile plan.

The new wearable add-on will allow customers to make calls, access mobile data, and stay connected directly from their smartwatch — even when away from their phone.

What is a Smartwatch eSIM Companion Plan?

A companion eSIM allows a compatible smartwatch to share the same mobile number, voice inclusions, and mobile connectivity as your main mobile service.

This means customers can:

• Make and receive calls from their smartwatch
• Use mobile data on their smartwatch
• Stay connected without carrying their phone
• Stream music and receive notifications on the go
• Use fitness and health apps while outdoors
• Stay reachable while exercising, walking, or travelling

The companion service works seamlessly alongside an eligible Cmobile mobile plan.

eSIM Available for Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch

Cmobile’s new eSIM Companion Plan will support compatible:

The Cmobile eSIM Companion Plan will be available for just:

This is added on top of an eligible Cmobile C Blue 5G mobile plan.

This gives customers an affordable way to enjoy cellular connectivity on their smartwatch using the Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network.

1GB Included Data for Your Smartwatch

Each eSIM Companion Plan includes:

• 1GB of standalone smartwatch data per month

Typical smartwatch data usage averages around 150MB monthly, meaning most customers are unlikely to fully consume their included allowance.

Customers will receive usage alerts at:

• 50%
• 85%
• 100%

of their included 1GB allowance.

If the allowance is exhausted, data access on the smartwatch will pause until the next billing cycle.

• Apple iPhone Series 6 and later
• Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) and later

Samsung Devices

Supported Samsung devices include:

• Samsung Galaxy S8 and later

At launch, the Cmobile eSIM Companion service supports:

• Apple devices
• Samsung devices

Currently unsupported devices include:

• Google Pixel phones
• Non-supported tablet brands

The Cmobile eSIM Companion service will operate on the reliable Telstra Wholesale Mobile Network, delivering extensive mobile coverage across Australia.

Key network features include:

• Nationwide coverage
• 5G compatible plans
• Maximum download speeds capped at 100Mbps
• Shared mobile number across devices

Incoming calls to your mobile number will ring simultaneously on both your smartphone and smartwatch.

Calls made from the smartwatch will display your existing mobile number.

Flexible Month-to-Month Billing

The Cmobile Companion eSIM service is billed month-to-month with no lock-in contract.

The service follows the same billing cycle as your primary mobile plan.

Important notes:

• The companion service requires an active eligible Cmobile C Blue 5G plan ($30 and above)
• Not available on Cmobile C Red plans
• One smartwatch can be linked per primary mobile service
• Unused smartwatch data does not roll over
• International roaming is not supported on the smartwatch service
• The smartwatch service cannot be used outside Australia
