Compare Opticomm Internet Plans from Australian Service Providers – Cmobile, Aussie Broadband and Leaptel. Choosing an Opticomm internet plan involves more than finding the lowest advertised monthly price. Introductory discounts, ongoing charges, upload speeds and customer support can all affect the value you receive.
Cmobile now offers Opticomm internet plans with unlimited data, no lock-in contracts and Australian-based support. Eligible Cmobile mobile customers can also save $5 a month on their Opticomm internet plan.
So how does Cmobile compare with Aussie Broadband, Superloop and Leaptel? Here’s a look at selected plans and the costs worth checking before you switch.
What is Opticomm?
Opticomm builds and operates a broadband access network connecting homes and businesses. You purchase your internet service through a provider such as Cmobile, which supplies your plan, manages billing and provides customer support.
Opticomm and NBN are separate networks. Before comparing plans, check which network serves your address. Opticomm availability and eligible speed tiers depend on your property.
Compare introductory and ongoing Opticomm prices
A discounted introductory price can offer good value. However, it’s important to know what happens when the discount ends.
The table below compares selected standalone internet plans. Competitor mobile bundle discounts, hardware offers and other extras are excluded.
| Speed tier: down/up | Cmobile monthly price | Aussie Broadband introductory → ongoing | Superloop introductory → ongoing | Leaptel introductory → ongoing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25/10 Mbps | $69 | $58 for 6 months → $83 | $58 for 6 months → $78 | $50 for 6 months → $75 |
| 50/20 Mbps | $85 | $70 for 6 months → $95 | $69 for 6 months → $89 | $75 for 6 months → $88 |
| 100/20 Mbps | $89 | $79 for 6 months → $99 | Not listed on reviewed page | $80 for 12 months → $97 |
Competitor prices are from their published Opticomm pages. Aussie Broadband’s listed introductory offers require the applicable promotion code and eligibility; the advertised offer ends 15 November 2026. All plans remain subject to address availability and provider terms.
At these selected tiers, Cmobile’s standard monthly price is lower than the listed ongoing competitor prices.
That doesn’t mean Cmobile is always cheaper over the first year. Introductory discounts can change the result, so compare the total cost over the period you expect to stay.
Cmobile’s 25 Mbps plan: affordable everyday internet
Cmobile’s Opticomm 25/10 plan costs $69 a month, with unlimited data and no lock-in contract.
It offers an ongoing monthly saving of:
- $14 compared with Aussie Broadband’s $83 ongoing price.
- $9 compared with Superloop’s $78 ongoing price.
- $6 compared with Leaptel’s $75 ongoing price.
For eligible Cmobile mobile customers, the $5 monthly bundle discount reduces the internet price to $64 a month. The mobile service is charged separately.
This plan is worth considering for smaller households whose main activities are browsing, email, video calls and light streaming. Households with several people streaming or downloading at once may benefit from a faster tier.
Cmobile’s 500 Mbps plan: a strong option for busy households
For eligible addresses, Cmobile’s Opticomm 500/50 Fast Fibre plan costs $89 a month, or $84 with an eligible Cmobile mobile service.
The plan’s advertised typical evening speeds are 500 Mbps download and 42 Mbps upload between 7pm and 11pm.
Superloop advertises its 500/50 plan at $74 a month for six months, followed by $95 a month. That makes Superloop cheaper initially, while Cmobile has the lower standalone ongoing price.
Here’s how those advertised internet charges compare over time:
| Standalone 500/50 plan | First 12 months | First 24 months |
|---|---|---|
| Cmobile: $89/month | $1,068 | $2,136 |
| Superloop: $74 for 6 months, then $95 | $1,014 | $2,154 |
Calculated from the advertised monthly rates, assuming prices remain unchanged. Equipment, connection charges, optional extras and bundle discounts are excluded.
The comparison shows why both introductory and ongoing prices matter. Superloop’s offer costs less over the first year; Cmobile costs slightly less over two years under these assumptions.
Save another $60 a year with an eligible mobile service
Cmobile offers $5 a month off Opticomm internet with an eligible mobile plan. That adds up to $60 in annual internet savings while you remain eligible.
| Cmobile Opticomm plan | Standard monthly price | With eligible mobile service |
|---|---|---|
| 25/10 Basic | $69 | $64 |
| 50/20 Value | $85 | $80 |
| 100/20 Fast | $89 | $84 |
| 100/40 Fast Plus | $99 | $94 |
| 500/50 Fast Fibre | $89 | $84 |
| 1000/100 Ultra Fast | $119 | $114 |
Mobile plan charges are additional. Eligibility and bundle conditions apply.
Other providers also offer bundle savings. Compare the combined mobile and internet bill, including whether the mobile plan suits your usage, rather than choosing a bundle purely for its discount.
Australian support, unlimited data and flexibility
Cmobile combines competitive ongoing pricing with Australian-based customer support. You can contact our team for help checking availability, choosing a plan and getting connected.
Our Opticomm plans also include unlimited data and no lock-in contracts.
These features are worth looking for, although they aren’t exclusive to Cmobile. Aussie Broadband and Leaptel also advertise Australian support, unlimited data and no lock-in contracts. Cmobile’s appeal is the combination of those features with its pricing and eligible mobile discount.
Is Cmobile always the cheapest Opticomm provider?
No single provider offers the lowest price for every speed tier and promotional period.
For example, Superloop’s advertised standalone 1000/100 ongoing price is $114 a month, compared with Cmobile’s $119. Cmobile’s eligible mobile discount brings its internet price to $114, although competing bundle offers may also affect the comparison.
Cmobile is particularly worth considering if you want competitively priced everyday internet, a 500 Mbps plan at an eligible address, Australian support, or savings alongside an eligible Cmobile mobile service.
